The Evidence and Impact Associate supports the Foundation's evidence generation, advocacy, and knowledge dissemination functions. The role is responsible for producing PSPI outputs and sector dashboards, developing knowledge products, packaging evidence for advocacy purposes, and supporting internal and external reporting to demonstrate the Foundation's value proposition.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Evidence and Impact Associate will;

  • Support the bi-annual production and refinement of the Public Sector Performance Index (PSPI) and sector-specific dashboards.

  • Develop practical, actionable playbooks, toolkits, and policy briefs based on PSPI data, alumni reform cases, and global best practices.

  • Curate and synthesise research outputs to inform flagship curricula and technical upskilling opportunities.

  • Package evidence into compelling narratives, interactive dashboards, and policy advocacy materials targeting alumni, MDAs, partners, and continental bodies.

  • Support internal and external reporting, including annual impact reports, donor updates, board presentations, and public-facing stories.

  • Identify and document reform cases where alumni have successfully implemented system changes.

  • Support the Leadership Development and Alumni teams with data insights for recruitment, curriculum refresh, and alumni selection.

  • Ensure all knowledge products are evidence-backed, professionally produced, and aligned with organisational messaging.

  • Maintain organised repositories of research outputs and knowledge products.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of a Second-Class Upper degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Statistics, Communications, or related fields.

  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in research, knowledge management, advocacy, or communications in a development context.

Technical, Core and Behavioural Competencies

  • Strong research, writing, and data visualisation skills.

  • Experience producing policy briefs, reports, or advocacy materials for development or public sector audiences.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to translate complex evidence into accessible narratives.

  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive.

  • High level of professionalism and discretion.
