2026 AIG PLP Call for Applications
Thousands of applications. Multiple countries. One shared goal: stronger public service. See what this year’s response to the AIG Public Leaders Programme reveals about the future of public sector leadership in Africa.
As part of the application process for the sixth cohort of the AIG Public Leaders Programme (AIG PLP), we received thousands of applications from 25 African countries and across all 36 states of Nigeria, reflecting a strong and growing commitment among public sector leaders across Africa to improve service delivery to citizens.
To support prospective applicants, we also hosted a question-and-answer session where participants received practical guidance on the application process. Alumni of the programme shared their experiences, helping applicants gain clarity and better understand the programme’s expectations.
With applications now closed, the selection process is underway. Shortlisted candidates will complete computer-based tests and progress through a multi-stage assessment process. Successful applicants will be contacted ahead of the programme’s commencement in October 2026.
