We are pleased to announce that Pelumi Olugbile, Deputy Manager at NIGCOMSAT, has been awarded the prestigious AIG Scholarship to pursue a Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.

A Chartered Accountant and governance reform advocate, Pelumi has led financial reforms that improved efficiency, strengthened accountability, and advanced national connectivity projects. Her scholarship award builds on this track record of aligning public resources with citizen impact, and her Oxford training will deepen her capacity to drive transparent, high-impact governance reforms in Nigeria.

The AIG Scholarship is a highly competitive and distinguished programme created by the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation to identify and nurture exceptional public servants who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and a strong commitment to public sector transformation across Africa. Scholars receive full financial support, tailored mentoring, and professional development opportunities that equip them with the advanced skills needed to tackle pressing governance challenges.

Since the launch in 2017, we have awarded scholarships to 35 exceptional public servants who have gone on to lead significant reforms and improve public service delivery in their respective countries. These alumni form a powerful network of reform-minded leaders who collaborate to accelerate Africa’s socio-economic development.

By joining this elite body of AIG Scholars, Pelumi not only furthers her own leadership journey but also contributes to a collective effort to build a stronger, more inclusive, and effective public service that can drive Africa’s transformation for generations to come.
