Advancing Public Sector Transformation through Digital Innovation
We believe that technology is a powerful tool for public sector transformation and therefore we are supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy to develop the Nigerian Web Design Standard (NWDS). This project is part of the work the Ministry is undertaking, to develop a unified, user-friendly platform that will make public services more accessible, responsive, and citizen centred.
In a bold step towards enhancing Nigeria’s digital infrastructure, we are proud to be partnering with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy to support the development of the Nigerian Web Design Standard (NWDS), a transformative initiative led by the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani.
The NWDS is part of a process the Ministry is undergoing, to transform digital governance by creating a unified, user-friendly platform to access government services. By ensuring government websites look and work the same across the country, citizens will enjoy easier, consistent and better experiences when interacting with government agencies
During a meeting with the Minister, our chairman, Mr Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to driving digital reforms in the public sector. “Digital innovation is essential to building a modern, efficient, and citizen-focused public service. Our support for the Nigerian Web Design Standard reflects our commitment to driving meaningful reform in the public sector, ensuring that government services are not only more accessible but also more responsive to the needs of the people,” he stated.
This collaboration marks a significant step toward improving citizens’ access to government services and enhancing effective public service delivery. As we advance the digital transformation of the public sector, we remain committed to our mission of building a system that better serves every citizen in Nigeria and across Africa.
