Africa CEO Forum: Powering Africa’s Digital Future

Can Africa build a truly scalable digital future? At this year's Africa CEO Forum, our Executive Vice Chair, Mrs Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, examined what it will take for Africa to build a digital future that delivers value for citizens.

At the 2026 Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, world leaders convened to address one of the continent’s most pressing questions: “Scale or Fail: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership?”

Our Executive Vice Chair, Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, spoke at the Strategic LEAD Roundtable session, “Build or Rent: Who Will Develop and Own Africa’s Digital Public Infrastructure?”, where she examined what a truly transformed digital future for Africa looks like and what it would take to build one.

She stressed that digital transformation cannot succeed on fragmented systems and called for visionary leadership, strategic partnerships, and sustainable investment in building infrastructure that genuinely serves people. She further noted that Africa’s transformation will not be driven by technology alone. It will require leaders who can build accountable organisations, foster trust, manage stakeholders, and build collaboration across sectors.

This engagement reinforces our commitment to supporting reform efforts to build resilient, citizen-centred systems across Africa.
