From Conversation to Action: Inside Our 2026 Alumni Convening
Beyond the main stage at the 2026 International Civil Service Conference, we convened members of our alumni community, private sector stakeholders, and heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) for a roundtable discussion on strategies for implementing successful reforms.
Our roundtable session, “Navigating Public Sector Reform,” brought together public sector leaders and reform champions to examine the realities of driving change within government organisations. Moderated by Chioma Njoku, our Director of Programmes, the session featured experienced public servants who shared practical insights on how they championed reforms in their various organisations and the challenges they faced. The conversation highlighted how meaningful reform depends on capable leadership, strong systems, and a commitment to collaborative problem-solving.
During the session, we also introduced an abridged version of our Public Sector Reform Playbook, a practical guide informed by our experience supporting reform efforts and grounded in the day-to-day realities public servants face, with the full playbook set to launch later in the year. We also held a reform exhibition, showcasing the reform stories of our alumni across Africa. Each reform story showed the impact our alumni are making in their various organisations across the continent. [Click here to see the stories]
These engagements reflect our continued commitment to equipping and connecting reform leaders with the tools, insights, and community they need to drive lasting change within the public sector.
