Courtesy Visit: Nigeria Governor’s Forum
Recognising that lack of political buy-in is a key reason reforms often fail, we visited the Nigeria Governors' Forum to discuss how policymakers and political leaders can collaborate effectively to design sustainable reforms.
As part of our ongoing research into why reforms often fail in Nigeria, we paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum to discuss the root causes of these challenges and explore opportunities for co-creating sustainable solutions.
This visit is a key step in our broader mission to strengthen public sector reform. So far, we have engaged a diverse range of stakeholders, including media professionals, academics, and senior civil servants.
Engaging political leaders at this stage is essential to bridge the gap between well-designed policies and the political will needed to implement them. With the support of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, we hope to develop solutions that are not only practical but also politically feasible, ensuring deeper stakeholder engagement, stronger buy-in, and long-lasting impact.
By continuing to bring together voices from across the public sector, we are working to design reforms that can withstand political transitions and are rooted in real-world experience.
