What inspired you to pursue a career in the development sector?

Working at the Foundation is a win-win for me because I’m passionate about both the development sector and information technology. It allows me to apply my skills to support projects that truly make a difference in people’s lives. Working as an IT professional at the Foundation allows me to support the important work we do, ensuring our operations are efficient and effective. By leveraging technology, I help streamline processes and improve communication, which ultimately strengthens our ability to deliver impactful development programmes that benefit Africans.

What do you do at the Foundation?

I manage the Foundation’s IT assets and ensure that all team members have seamless access to the necessary systems and data. Additionally, I closely monitor system activities to identify and prevent any potential issues or unauthorized access, maintaining the security and efficiency of our operations.

What does your typical day look like?

A typical day for me begins with addressing help desk requests, as new issues frequently arise that require prompt resolution. I also dedicate time to monitoring activities on our portals to ensure they operate smoothly and securely.

What makes the work that we do at the Foundation unique?

The initiative, goal, and vision are all about transforming lives through true capacity building. Rather than offering superficial solutions, we insist on sustainable solutions by equipping individuals and communities with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to create lasting, meaningful change.
