A New Chapter for KTI’s Africa Advisory Board: Aigboje and Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede Appointed Co-Chairs
King’s Trust International has announced a new chapter for its work in Africa, appointing our Chairman and Executive Vice-Chair, Aigboje and Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede as Co-Chairs of its Africa Advisory Board. Their leadership will guide efforts to expand education, employability, and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people across Africa.
Our Chairman and Executive Vice Chair succeed founding Co-Chairs Bernard and Genevieve Mensah, whose leadership played an instrumental role in shaping King’s Trust International’s work in Africa.
As the new Co-Chairs, Aigboje and Ofovwe’s vison for the board extends beyond programme expansion to driving systemic change, championing advocacy and growing partnerships across sectors to create sustainable opportunities for young Africans.
They stated, "We are honoured to take on this role at a pivotal time for Africa’s future. Our mission is to unlock the potential and creativity of Africa’s youth, nurturing a generation that will lead sustainable development across the continent. We look forward to collaborating with partners who share our commitment to transforming lives through education, opportunity, and innovation."
Since launching in Africa in 2019, King’s Trust International has supported more than 30,000 young people across nine countries, with 83% of participants securing employment or returning to education within three months of programme completion. This new appointment positions King’s Trust International to build on this success and reach more young people in the years ahead.
