Supporting Digital Transformation at SERVICOM
Digital transformation succeeds when people are equipped to embrace change, not just the introduction of new technology. As part of our ongoing support for the deployment of an Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) at the SERVICOM National Office, we held a sensitisation session to help staff understand the system, its benefits, and the practical steps needed for a successful rollout.
An Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) helps organisations improve efficiency by digitising how they capture, manage, store, and retrieve information. As part of our ongoing technical support for the deployment of the ECMS at SERVICOM, we held a sensitisation session to help staff members understand the purpose of the system, what it means for their work and the practical conditions required for its successful adoption.
During the session, we presented findings from the SERVICOM ECMS Organisational Readiness Baseline Survey, highlighting strong leadership commitment and staff confidence in the system's potential to improve their work, while identifying key areas requiring additional support before implementation. We also introduced to the principles of organisational change management, the role of ECMS in improving document and records management, and the system's core functional modules to prepare them for a successful transition.
The session strengthened staff understanding of the value of an ECMS to their work and provided a platform for them to ask questions, clarify expectations and share feedback that will help guide the next phase of implementation.
By building awareness, encouraging ownership of the change process, and clarifying the actions required for implementation, the session strengthened SERVICOM's readiness for a smoother ECMS rollout.
